· I found out I was pregnant with on March 28, 2012. Boy was I excited! I thought I would cry, but I didn’t, so I tried really hard to make myself cry. Still nothing. I did scream really loud and kept saying, “Thank you God! Thank you God!” I wanted to call Brad right away to tell him, but waited until his day off.
· I told Brad at dinner the next night. I made baby back ribs, baby corn and bought an ATM onesie. When he got home I told him what I made and that I got him a present. He opened the bag, looked in, dropped the bag on the floor and said...well, it's probably not appropriate that I write exactly what he said. Let's just say that he was surprised. Why, I don't know. He knew we had been trying to get pregnant.
·
Luckily, I didn't have any morning sickness! I would just feel a little nauseated from time to
time, right before I needed to eat.
· April 19th was our first doctor's appointment to confirm that we were really pregnant. This was when we got to see the baby for the very first time! Of course I had no idea what I was looking at. All I could see was it's little heartbeat. I thought I would cry then...nothing. I guess I'm cold hearted?! Brad asked several times if there was just one baby in there. The doctor said only one.
·
We told Grammy & Grandpa on May 20th.
Brad was at work at BFD so we Skyped him and I told my parents, "We decided to have Thanksgiving at our house this year. The doctor thought it would be better if we
were close to the hospital." Immediately,
Grammy & Grandpa knew. Grammy said,
“You’re pregnant?! I’m going to be a Grammy again!” They were both every excited!
·
I drove to Boerne that same day to tell Granny & Gramps (Brad's parents). Brad called and he told them on speaker phone. He said, “I’m supposed to
tell you that Christina’s pregnant.” They were very excited!
·
July 1st was an exciting day for me! I
was lying on the couch and felt the baby move for the first time! Boy was that a
cool feeling. I went to my room and got the fetal heart monitor to see if I
could hear its heartbeat in the same area that I felt it move. I did! Now, I
can’t wait to feel the little one move more!
· Just so you all know, Brad and I are not going to find out the sex of the baby. Brad wants to be surprised and I am going to see how long I can make it before I crack and need to find out.
